Nicky Ajose made it four wins in a row for a resurgent Town side under Martin Ling.

 

In fact, it came as no surprise when the in-form Swindon striker struck just after the half-hour with the home side already on the back-foot.

 

Ben Gladwin was running riot in midfield and had already had two good efforts saved, while goal-provider Anton Rogers had shaved the bar from a free-kick.

 

Good form that continued at the start of the second-half before Town showed their newly-found defensive determination too with a resilient display that preserved their lead - and three valuable points.

 

"The pressing and hard work was there - the lads have seen it through and got a great result," Ling commented.

 

"Four wins on the trot and five out of six is getting us to start looking upwards. We need to build on that."
